12 national standards for abrasives and abrasive tools will take effect on July 1, 2018

Recently, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Standardization Administration of China approved and released 1,090 national standards, 4 amendments to national standards, and 51 foreign-language editions of national standards. Among these are 12 national standards related to general abrasives, abrasive equipment, bonded abrasives, coated abrasives, and superhard abrasives and products. The details are as follows:

In particular, standardization has demonstrated outstanding foundational, leading, and strategic roles in the modernization of the national governance system and governance capabilities. On November 4, 2017, the 30th Session of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People’s Congress voted to adopt the newly revised Standardization Law. The revised “Standardization Law of the People’s Republic of China” came into effect on January 1, 2018. The implementation of the new law is of great significance for enhancing the quality of products and services, promoting scientific and technological progress, and raising the level of economic and social development.
